Norway Roadtrip.
Norway: Roadtrip to Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands
A Few years ago, I took a roadtrip to Svolvaer in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. I went with a couple of other Photographers, Phil Kneen and John Coldwell in Phil’s ‘Trusty’ camper van. I say trusty. We only broke down once and we fixed that with a coke can and a couple of jubilee clips from a petrol station. The stories from that trip are too numerous to share here, from Phil’s Arctic circle wild swimming & John racking up the biggest speeding fine I’ve ever seen to spending the night in a car park that was so cold that water froze in mid air if you threw it. Lifelong friendships were made & we took some photographs too.
Everything here was either photographed on a Leica M6 or a Pentax 67ii. Possibly two of the best cameras that I ever owned.
